Propeller Types

There are many types of propellers out on the market that will perform different with every plane. At New England Propeller, we sell many types of propellers. We will sell, service, repair and take trade-ins towards from anywhere in the world.

Fixed Pitch

fixed.gif - 3437 Bytes A full line of aluminum fixed pitch propellers for single-engine aircraft provides maximum performance - and minimum operating costs. The design of today's fixed pitch propellers is function driven for optimum reliability and simplicity. The STC conversions have included low noise and high performance. For light single engine aircraft a fix pitch propeller offers good performance.

Constant Speed

constant.gif - 3497 Bytes Already in use in thousands of single-engine aircraft, the constant speed propeller design has an unique one-piece, oil-filled hub with thread less blade retention. That means greater dependability, coupled with low cost and very high performance for single. engine and double engine aircraft.

Full-Feathering

feather.gif - 4876 Bytes The full-feathering propellers for reciprocating twin-engine and turbine powered aircraft utilized many of the design features found on the constant speed models. Since then, product enhancements that were specifically developed for full-feathering propellers like the oil-filled hub and thread less blade retention have become standard, not just on these models but also on our constant speed models, for the lowest operating costs with very high performance and reliability. feather2.gif - 5632 Bytes

Propeller Equipment

Governors

goven.gif - 13308 Bytes A governor is defined as a mechanical device which is used to sense the speed of a motive device and maintain its speed using mechanical feedback. A New England Propeller we service and replace governors.

Spinners

spinn.gif - 13901 Bytes Spinners are available for most propellers. In addition to enhancing aircraft appearance, spinners reduce drag by streamlining airflow which in turn provides improved engine cooling and ram air induction on turboprops. Spinners come in aluminum with natural color, polished and black finishes.
